The success of the Saral team seems to start at the hiring phase, where the requirements are rather strict and only the best of the best make it through the door. This has directly led to faster ramp-up and learning time and the ability for junior members of the team to move through the ranks to senior and principals in a short space of time. This also means that people with relatively little experience can be trusted with very complex requirements. This is due to the hands-on management style, which is one of coaching and engagement rather than pure delegation. This works very well in my favour as a customer, because I can rest assured knowing that my precious requirements and delivery are in very capable hands.
The regular feedback and agile management of development allows us to collaborate very easily and to arrest situations way before they get a chance to get out hand. Quality control is something that makes or breaks software delivery and I am pleased to say that the ever improving QA department at Saral is not only aware of the need and impact of quality, but they are proactive in setting up automated testing, catching issues before it gets to production and being able to “pull the plug” on shaky releases.
